Colum Grid Layout Showing 1 Product Per Row

I installed the column-grid layout module and when I have only 2 products listed in the product listing as well as the cross-sell listing it shows 1 product per row rather than both products on the same row. If I add 3 products it works fine but not with only 2. How do I fix this?

Again, it is only for the product listing and not for cross sell
