Is it possible to accept PayPal only?

Hello!

I am on version 1.3.9d.
I am about to go live and am trying to test the order process. I don't have any agreements with any outside payment processors and wish to only accept PayPal at this time.

I have PayPal Express set up and it seems to be working fine. On the Step 2 of 3 page, it offers the PayPal payment option, but also has a place for the customer to enter their credit card information. I do not want them to be able to do this because I have no means of collecting payment.

Is there a way to remove the option for my customer to enter their CC info on the Step 2 of 3 page?

BTW, I should add that I am really only a beginner with all of this, so you might have to dumb down your answer for me. lol

Turn off the credit card option in Admin - Modules - Payment. Don't just disable it, click 'Remove'.

I still can't figure out where to remove the option. I removed the FREE CHARGE CARD, and I don't see anywhere else where I can do that.

I removed everything except the last 4 options. I disabled Check/Money order and PayPal Express & Pro are the only others that are enabled.

You probably have the old entries from Manual Credit card from 1.3.8. Try copying includes/modules/payment/cc.php and includes/languages/english/modules/payment/cc.php from a fresh download of 1.3.8, then in admin->modules->payment, select cc and press the remove button, then delete those two files.

(The other option is that you downloaded Ceon's Manual Card contribution; same steps to remove.)

"PayPal Website Payments Pro" *is* a credit card module. As such, if you enable it, you'll be offering your customers the ability to enter their card details directly on your site.
But, to use that feature, you need to subscribe to it within your PayPal account, and there's a monthly fee for that privilege.

If you haven't applied for the Pro features, then click "Remove" on that module.

You can still accept credit cards via PayPal, but that will be done when the customer visits the PayPal site as part of their checkout, ideally when using Express Checkout.

So ... in short ... the only PayPal option you need enabled is Express Checkout.

And, if you *do* have free items on your store, then you'll also want to enable the Free Charger module to allow for $0.00 checkouts if applicable.

Everything else you can click "Remove" on.
