Check the Attributes and see if any are marked as Display Only ...

Technically, Display only cannot be selected, but I am not seeing anything obvious yet ...

I checked my copy of "How do I add attributes to my products?" and it states that "READ ONLY is for display purposes only and is NOT part of a calculation nor does it appear on the order. It is more or less an informational attribute that can be used with 1 to many products and then changed once to change on all products)"

I want to use TEXT as a comment box my customers can use to give me the necessary information to complete their personalized orders.

READ ONLY are not for the cart ...

I am asking if you have any of your Attributes marked as:
    Display Only

    or marked as:
    Required

NOTE: you cannot be Display Only and Required as that is not logical ...

These settings are in the colored boxes of the Attributes ...

I am using TEXT and I made sure to click 'No' for "Used For
Display Purposes Only:" and 'No' for "Attribute Required
    for Text:"

I can't see anything I'm doing wrong but I still get the error messages: ... Invalid Option Values Selected. I noticed this message occurs three times and I have a total of four attributes. It is my guess that the attribute (for Checkbox) is agreeable but the problem may be with the other three that require TEXT entry from the customer. If you can help, I would greatly appreciate it.
    Thanks!

Can you go to phpMyAdmin and browse the table:
    products_options_values

and look to see if you have a
    products_options_values_name

    called TEXT ...

Sorry, I'm not quite sure where to find the phpMyAdmin. I'm new at this and that's why it's SO frustrating.

I finally found the phpMyAdmin, then found what you asked about. Now I'm not sure where to go from here. I'm stuck on TEXT.

I have found the phpMyAdmin and so forth. I'm not savvy with databases, so I will need you to 'talk' me through what to do after finding products_options_values_name

    Thanks!

    Find your database ...

    Click on the table:
    products_options_values

    Click on BROWSE ...
and look to see if you have in the field:
    products_options_values_name

    one defined as:
    TEXT
