    Default Loading Multiple Images

I apologize if this is something that has been discussed. I could not find it.

I have set up my site in 1.39 and I cannot get my images to show. I have set the permissions to 777 on the files and the folder. I have read that you should put _lrg, _sml, _med etc, on the end of the file names to help differentiate between which goes where on the site. The problem is... I have over 14,000 products and over 28,000 image files to go through... I have separated the thumbnails and the large files by creating subfolders called large and thumb... I have tried to call them by using the admin screen, but no luck...

Can any one give a idea of how to call these pics without having to rename them? I am sure it is an easy fix, but I cannot seem to find out where the images are being called from in the scripting...

    Thanks in advance

A link to the site would help us help you figure this out.

There should already be folders for large and medium images when you install Zen Cart. Where did you create folders for the images? It sounds like you uploaded the images to the incorrect location.

If you get Image Handler 2 (aka IH2) from the Free Software Add Ons section, you only need to have one size of the image (large). IH2 will do the rest. You can see IH2 in action on the Holzheimers site in my sig.

    Thanks for the replies...

Sorry about not including the link to the site... It has some adult material, no ######## or anything, just some material some may not like or want and it is a members only site.. If you are not offended, I will send you a link

As far as setting them up in them up in the wrong area.. you might be right. I have a subfolder where the shop is located... i.e. www.mysite.com/myshop I have the images located there and I have all the images in the main folder under admin... I have called the images in the database as http://www.mysite.com/images/imagename.jpg

    Hope this helps... Thanks again

As I typed the above reply, I realized I may be an idiot and that I would have to rename the paths of my images in my database.... I do have the large and small folders, that came with Zen Cart, filled with the appropriate images. I also have just am images folder filled with all the images in my subcategory folder

When you look at the products in the admin, do you see the images? If not, there's probably a problem with the path as you suspect.

Edit: Actually, you have to do a preview of the product to see the image, but there may be a message on the bottom of the product page (in the admin) if the path is incorrect.

Here is something that I am finding...

If I type this into my browser:

    http://www.mysite.com/dptyshop/image.../CQM6520SM.jpg

It shows... If I type that into my admin preview, it does not show. I have even tried just images/large/CQM6520SM.jpg

    What am I missing?

    Thanks again for everything
