    Default H1 Heading has disappeared

    Hi all,
    I have just changed the template of my website http://www.belindajays.com/ and for some reason I don't have a H1 heading. I have run the program "Web Ceo" which informs me that I have no H1 heading. I have upload another stylesheet which I know shows the heading but this didn't work and I have also checked my header.php which has the heading in it.

    Hopefully someone can me

    Thanks in advance!

    Well, you answered your own question - you've changed your template. And by the looks of it, the template doesn't use <h1>. So you need to go into the PHP files & amend it.

    Thanks for the reply terraGirl.....Any chance you could go into more detail about how I do that. I'm fairly new at this and I'm not sure what php file you mean. What would I need to add? Thanks heaps for your help...I really appreciate it.

    Thank Template Monster for changing lots of standard files to replace <h1> with <h2>. I'm afraid your best bet will be to use the Developers Toolkit in admin > Tools; paste <h2 in the bottom left box, select all files and search. This will show the files where it is used; some of them will be properly <h2> and some should be changed back to <h1>. I'm afraid you're on your own for this process as we have limited tolerance for spending time fixing TM's screwups.

    Thanks gjh42...after much digging and playing around, I have discovered the problem was in the tpl_header.php. I had to add...

    <div id="headerpic">
    <div id="slogan">
    <h1>your own heading/keywords here</h1>
    <h2>your own words here</h2>
    </div><!-- slogan -->

    I also configured the stylesheet too, but it's all fixed and the H1 heading is showing on my site now. Just thought I would post this just in case other people are having the same issue. Besides the H1 heading is pretty important when it comes to SEO.

    Generally, Zen Cart displays the individual page content heading as the <h1>, as that is tailored to the specific page. Having the site logo/slogan/etc. be the h1 for every page dilutes its usefulness. The logo does not get a heading tag.
