Possible to insert small icon to separate category names?

Hello,

Under the header where the category links are located, is it possible to input a small icon (like 16 x 16) to separate each link?

For example:

Tops (icon here) Dresses (icon here) Shoes (icon here) Accessories

I am just starting on the site so I don't have anything to show right now, but I can give a screenshot of another site if an example is needed.

If this is possible, can someone kindly point me in the right direction in terms of which files need to be edited etc.

Check out the categories dressing mod. It might take a little customizing, but should be doable.

I think you are referring to the category tabs in the header. In that case you will probably find this thread helpful:

Thanks guys.

I ended up removing content from the "/includes/TEMPLATE/templates/category_tabs.php" file and coding the links and images and it worked like a charm.

You hard-coded the links? It would have been much simpler and more robust to do the tiny mod in Kerrin's suggested link.

Categories Dressing is for the sidebox, not the categories-tabs menu.

Yes, but it's okay gjh42, there's only a few links, plus it's not a sidebox.
