I used the following tutorial for DB export.

    https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=103

But the problems seems to have resolved for now by the following:

Previously I had been doing a full database export and import. This time I exported the tables from the SQL tab of the DB, not the SQL from phpMyAdmin from within the local DB and then imported the tables via the SQL tab of the database, not the SQL from phpMyAdmin, it seems to have worked.

Now I am not sure why did this work? And is it a good long term solution?

Could not follow what you outlined....
But if you follow the tutorial then this is the proper way
