red flag My shop has HTTP 500 error, but Admin ok?

My shop is not working at all, but I can access Admin ok.

She shop was working, but today its not working at all - says its a HTTP 500 error and probably a programming error?

Can anyone help? Yesterday I was changing some of my template information (tagline etc) and it was working fine after the changes until now.

    Thanks in advance

Replace the file you altered with the original file.

if you were altering the tagline, you didn't perchance put an apostrophe in your new tagline eg

    shasha's widgets

as an apostrophe there may cause the site to break (apostrophes mean something in PHP), someone else had a similar problem yesterday

anyway check your /cache folder as that is where error messages are stored

if it says something like "Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in bla bla bla" then that'll tell you where the error is

If you want to use an apostrophy in text you can do so, but like this:

    shasha\'s widgets

The back slash "escapes" the apostrophy and prevents it causing a php error.

    Vger
