hide add to cart' quantity box

i use latest version of zen cart

i have looked hard for this solution, but, strangely, cannot find info

i would just like to hide the add to cart' quantity box displayed in product info

but, i still want quantity box to show on shopping cart

any ideas?

Admin->Configuration->Product Info

Product Quantity Box Status - Adding New Products -> set to 0

If I recall this will only work for new products being added. I had the opposite problem at one point when I decided I wanted the box to display on all my products. If I remember correctly I had to run an SQL query to update everything that already existed.

there are two settings here, 0 and 1 (not True/False) so I set to 1, it was 0, but quantity box is still showing (see attached).

So, i am going to edit tpl_product_info_display.php, give the quantity input box a class, then display none in stylesheet and then wrap the 'Add to cart' text in a span and then display none in css.

A little long winded for what seems should be something quite simple

if anyone knows an easier way that would be great

i try not to alter code as much as poss

actually, no need to wrap the 'Add to cart' text in a span and display none as can just delete in english.php language file

the only problem with this is that the quantity box is then taken off of the shopping cart page - i want to take it off product info page only, this way if people really do want to order more than one of the same they can via the shopping cart page.
