    Default Newly installed ZC improperly?

So this is my first time trying to build a website being, in my opinion, im pretty smart and can usually figure things out pretty well. With that being said I purchased a domain and hosted it on domain.com. I installed zen cart through their hosting services ecommerce tab everything seems to fine other than the fact when I try searching through the support forum here i basically have NONE of the referenced folder/file pathways.

I have so far successfully installed a new template and added over 60 products. What im wondering is if i need to download ZC to my PC and upload everything to my server so that im not missing anything? And in doing so will i loose all the work i have already done to the site?

My biggest issue is that i cannot seem to change the very very top banner where it says WEBSHOP.. ive tried copying and editing header.php on my computer in notepad, and replacing it on the server. I changed the text from 'logo.gif' to my own image thinking it would load that img instead with not result.. ive attached a pic to show what exactly im refering to.

Rename your own logo to logo.gif and upload it to includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/images - then reload your browser.

You may want to get yourself a decent editor like Notepad++ to edit your files. The standard Windows Notepad causes too many errors.

Yeah I tried doing that before and nothing changed. Ive even tried deleting the logo.gif all together and it still somehow shows up there no matter what i do..

Make sure it actually is the logo image.

Install the Firefox browser and the Web Developer plugin for Firefox. You can use those to see where in the stylesheet you change the styling of the various page elements.

Ctrl-Shift-Y will allow you to hover over a section of the page and see the class and id names for that section in the box at the top. The statements in the stylesheet that begin with # are id's and the ones that begin with dots are classes.

Ctrl-Shift-E will open the CSS editor and allow you to edit the stylesheet and see the changes in real time without changing anything permanently. An essential tool.

Some prefer Firebug, which does much the same thing.

Also clear your browser cache/history. These things can stick in there pretty long.
