free orders not showing up under orders

I have an item on my site where customers can order a free sample. They are able to check out fine.

I get a new order email but the order itself does not get saved into Zen-Cart. When I go to Customers -> Orders it is not there.

I have to call the customer back based off the New Order email I get and ask them what they need samples of (they are supposed to write it in the special instruction / comment box).


Is there a setting I can change to make the order save in the admin?

1. You should either attributes or the text attribute to allow them to select the samples from the product page.

2. You should edit your default shopping cart text. You may want to add some instructions for using the shopping cart here. (defined in includes/languages/english/shopping_cart.php)

4. Recreate your samples product as a REAL product with a zero price and it should work fine, just remember to set it to free shipping if that is your intention.

ok i enabled the free zen-cart charge card payment module and it works fine now. thank you
