Can we change default templet Width?

Hi,
am using v1.3.9b, can i change zen cart default Template width? i have tried this link suggestion on my localhost under template stylesheet.css

Change 800px to whatever width you want.

With most monitors and screen resolutions, anything over 1000px may cause customers to have to scroll side to side.

That has to work if you're editing the right stylesheet.

Be sure you're working on the sheet for the current template.
