Override help for clueless noob?

Hi there, i'm a total noob and I'm at the stage where I have a template I like installed but wish to overide the default images with my own.

In the includes folder I have the template I like (plus classic and template default.) I have also created a 'custom' template folder which contains the directories 'common', 'css', 'images', 'sideboxes' and 'templates'. In the templates folder is tpl_account_default.php which I have modified slightly to take account of my authorship. Also the images folder contains the images I would like replacing. They are named the same as the images they are to replace. The 'css' folder and tpl_account_default.php were copied from the template_default directory.

The question I would like to ask is what do I need to do next to get the override to work? The custom template does not yet show up as an option in the template selection. I believe that this is what I need to happen, although I'm not certain of this because if I do that I don't understand how zen cart will know which of the templates in the includes directory it is supposed to override.

Do I need to put the template_info.php from the template I prefer into my custom template folder? Also it seems possible that really I should have copied the 'css' folder from the template I prefer that from template_default. I've had a look around for answers and I'm still none the wiser. Anyway thanks for reading, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Yes. The system looks for this file when determining what to present in the dropdown for template selection.

Excellent swguy thanks, the overrides working a treat now I did that and moved the correct stylesheet.css, cheers mate much obliged.
