    Default IE SSL Error

    Hello,

I currently have the latest version of zen-cart installed on my web site hosted by godaddy. I recently purchased an SSL Certificate from them and it is now installed and I enabled SSL on the config files. But when people reach the Log in/Registration page using IE they get a pop up from the certificate it says "The webpage contains content that will not be delivered using s secure HTTPS connection, which could compromise the security of the entire webpage" then i have a Yes or No button. When i press yes some of my sideboxes disappear and the bottom pictures to some links also wont show. When i press no they all show... can anyone help me with this please... what can I do to have this content not go away on my site?

Here is the log in page to my site:

    https://raredvdempire.com/index.php?main_page=login

This problem happens to users on IE. I use Mozilla. But i downloaded IE to see for myself and sure enough there is a problem with my page.

    Thanks.

You have several gif files that you are using on the log in page. The problem is that you are going "off site" to get them with an http link. Https will always throw an error when you do that.

You can try moving the gif's to your template's image folder or turn those sideboxes off for login using a special stylesheet.
    A little help with colors.

    Hi DrByte,
    Thank you.
I thought I may need a different solution since the pop up message is slightly different, but I will follow this.
Can you clarify the best way to find the links that need to be corrected? I didn't understand "searching your browser's view source".

    Hi raredvdempire1,
That link is for a SEO badge. It is not part of my site. If I change the target to "blank" will it help?

right click on the page and select view source, that way you can track down where the bits are

Changing the target to blank won't make an iota of difference, the link that takes you to their site isn't the problem

It is the links that bring things from their site

like the javascript and the badge

if you look at the trustwave logo that uses an https link ie http s://sealserver.trustwave.com/seal.js

you need to see if attracta support ssl for their links

Thank you for your tips. I removed the Attracta badge until I hear back on if they can support SSL.

Let me know if you still get that pop up.

    nope no pop-up

    bit of a hijack
Don't take this the wrong way, your site is really nice looking, However it is painfully painfully slow, I ran yslow on the page and your page is over 3mb in size, it is your images that are way too large

if you look on this page
    https://www.setboutique.com/shop/ind...index&cPath=17

each of your thumbnails is around 600kb, they should only be around 6kb

this image is being downloaded and then resized to thumbnail size

either use Image handler 2 available in the downloads section or put up small medium and lardge images as specified in the wiki

Idea or Suggestion Re: IE SSL Error

Thank you again for the tips. You are right about the images. I found glitches with image handler 2 so I removed it. But I never manually resized my images. It is something I definitely need to do, thanks.

The only link that is visible on every page is the EZ-Page tab called "Community". It directs the user to a new page which is my blogspot blog. Is it a problem to have a blogspot link?

    Thanks,
    Lindsay
