I've already told you: style them as display:none and they'll magically go away for you!

Try this:

input#email-format-text, input#email-format-html, label.radioButtonLabel[for=email-format-text], label.radioButtonLabel[for=email-format-html] {display:none;}

I built that by using Firebug and finding the elements I wanted to hide, and adding them to the stylesheet, as shown. You can do the same. Firebug is a free tool. Similar tools are available for other browsers. Invaluable tool if you're going to customize webpages.

Go to Configuration > Customer Details > Customer Default Email Preference

After that, and Dr. Byte's solid line of CSS. You should be good...
