...well sort of, all is working fine, i am using it for a business fan page, however whenever someone likes one of my products (in testing by myself atm) this generates an entirely new fan page with that particular product details rather than using the main fan page for my business which is already set up.

have i misunderstood what this module should be doing or have i gone wrong somewhere down the line please?

my business fan page is

the newly generated fan page (from clicking the like button) is

and that was generated from this product page

I'm really unaware of any creation of a fan page - the purpose is to have the product liked so that it appears on wall posts. If you are just wanting to have your fan page liked - that's entirely different.

this isn't something i request , it is just something that is happening!? i wondered wether it was my admin account triggering this so i used my partners facebook account, which has registered the like but again created a new page instead:

as you can see instead of crediting the like to my main business page it has instead created an entirely new page.

i have looked this up and there is a facebook developers discussion here:

im not a developer either (i did see you mention that in your readme) but do you have any ideas what is happening here please?

I'm sorry - I just don't know what you are talking about. I know nothing about new pages being created and don't see how that's possible but I haven't looked at any possible changes that facebook might have put into play.

Once again, when clicking on the like button, this puts a wall post up about the specific product and has nothing to do with a page.

it ok, i think i might have solved it now,instead of my facebook admin id i was using my app id, so this was generating a page using my app i presume. likes are now displaying on other peoples personal pages now.

just so you know as well, it seems that when you like from your own admin account (the one tied with this module) and unlike it , two options show up which go as follows

its this click on the admin page option that seems to generate the random product page, its not an issue now, i just wont do it but i wanted to warn others of this little quirk :)

yours is different than mine...lol

when i click your FB button (I have a link for sharing) I get a new page entirely to post in my page...but in mine I get a popup window. Inside it is the image and the product description and a spot to write more...in mine

yours seems to be part of another mod too...some kind of widget?? sorry just being snoopy cause I have nothing at all about an admin anything in my link at all.

i dont have any other like for like modules installed, do you think ive gone wrong somewhere then!? i would much rather the actual function of this mod rather than what i have somehow managed to bodge lol
