I'm not seeing problems with IE 8 display at all. I see the error message but it looks like they are all coming from the facebook script not zencart.

Using IE tester, neither IE6 or 9 will load - the pages crash - but as I don't have either version, I'm not sure what actually might happen.

There's no question that the Facebook team has a long way to go to make this usable, folks.

So I've already uploaded the contribution but posting the warning here:

I wrote this mod for a customer of mine, but I would not put it in on my personal cart. For a busy cart this can provide some excellent advertising but the fewer likes you get, the less this is worth having.

ahhh nevermind it is working fine now, i guess i accidentally uploaded one of the old files thinking it was the new. so yeah it works now and the JS error from FB is gone.

sweet, good job thanks a lot, if this even only brings a single order it then it was well worth it.

now maybe time to integrate that stupid twitter.

How do you want twitter integrated? Done 2 sideboxes, haven't package the second yet for upload.

ive seen some websites before that have a smaller twitter thing that is just like your facebook thing, would be cool if you can just put them next to each other.

What would be the best way to conditionally invoke a conditional meta tag for this two lines?

<meta property="og:image" content="META_TAG_FBIMG" />
<meta property="og:title" content="META_TAG_FBTITLE" />

Because this mod only applies to product page, it's displaying the above two tags on all other pages with the code as published because there's no really value to display since the value is tied to a product id.

My client wants a Facebook Like Button for their products in ZenCart. I've actually found facebook rather annoying so never took an interest...until now. Would someone please give this nob a quick run down of the processes needed before this mod will work? My client has a FB account and I am now an administer. here is the URL www.musicplace.com.au/catalogue

Here is what I've done so far:
1) Installed the files in the mod and altered:

Found this code (line 25):

3) http://developers.facebook.com/setup/ and registered my clients business The Music Place and got an appID

4) > includes/templates/your_custom_template/templates/tpl_product_info.php

Found this code (line 22):

5) getting the following error when I click the "Like" button:
The application ID specified within the "fb:app_id" meta tag is not allowed on this domain. You must setup the Connect Base Domains for your application to be a prefix of http://www.musicplace.com.au/catalog...oducts_id=1407.

Connect Base Domains???
