    Default Help Setting up Cart

Hi - I recently installed Zen Cart using Fantastico on my hosts CPanel. All went well and I successfully linked it to my website.

Her is what I see now: http://www.oakhillperennials.com/shop/

From what I read so far about installation I now have to edit the many .php files using notepad or a similar editor. I have NotePad to use to do this.

Can anyone point me to a document, tutorial, etc. that will take me step-by-step through the editing process?

    Thanks in advance,
    Pete

There's lots of information in the Tutorials/FAQ and the Wiki.

OK, for all the other Newbies out there, here is the first step in editing your Zen Cart:

Access your Zen cart admin area via your BROWSER by pointing to either:
    - http://www.YOUR_SITE.COM/admin/index.php OR
    - http://www.YOUR_SITE.COM/foldername/admin/index.php

    Easy huh?

A dedicated file editor like Notepad++ (free from Sourceforge) is better than Notepad for editing, as it will highlight syntax and often show you when you have made a simple mistake in editing, like a missed ' or ; that can cause a fatal error.

Yes, that will get you into your admin. Won't necessarily help with editing files.

For security purposes, you should rename your admin.
