Step by Step instructions to enable image upload?

Hi I'm wondering if there are any step by step instructions to enable image upload?

I would like to have certain blank products which customers can purchase and upload an image to be printed onto them

I'd also on these products like to be able to have customers download a template file

I understand that this is done by using attributes. I found this FAQ https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=57 but unfortunately it's rather general and I must be misunderstanding it somehow because I can't get it to work.

Does anybody know if there are step by step instructions anywhere specifically for what I'm attempting?

Also I'd like to add the option of uploading files on the "contact us" pages. I've found a few threads for this but they all seem to reach their end before a solution is reached. Does anybody by any chance know where a solution to this problem is located?

OK for the first bit, adding an upload option to a product, it goes like this.

1. ADMIN----->CATALOG------->OPTIONS NAME MANAGER

2. Under OPTION NAME type "upload" or what you like and for the OPTION TYPE select file. Then click on the INSERT button.

3. Click on CONFIGURATION----> MAXIMUM VALUES to set max file size. Also populate ALLOWED FILENAME EXTENSIONS with the file types you want to allow.

4. Skip the OPTIONS VALUE step in the FAQ, it is not required for the "FILE" - OPTION TYPE.

5. Click on CATALOG---->ATTRIBUTES CONTROLLER and select the product you want from the dropdown list. In the lower box ADDING NEW ATTRIBUTES select the OPTION NAME you created and then click INSERT.

Worked for me anyhow ;)
