What's the best mod for SEO?

I use the Ultimate SEO URLs mod.

But is it worth buying an SEO mod instead? SEO is a very important topicso worth paying if there are valuable features. Would anyone recommend one?

I have just installed Ultimate SEO on 1.3.9e. It seems to work well on my categories/products, but on the contact_us page and the index page I am still seeing:

http:// hinges.accountsupport.com/index.php?main_page=contact_us

and

http:// hinges.accountsupport.com/index.php?main_page=index

respectively.

If this is not the right place, please let me know if there is a more appropriate thread to search and post for Ultimate SEO. Thanks.

These "seo" modules are redundant. In fact, the major search engines suggest that they are NOT used on dynamic content sites.

Matt Cutts (Head of Google Search) believes they can do more harm than good if not configured properly.

Just in case someone has the same question I had, I would like to post what I have learned.

I specified the links form my EZ pages before installing the Ultimate SEO add-on. I was seeing the exact URL requested by the EZ pages links when I clicked on them in the browser.

this: http:// yoursite.com/index.php?main_page=contact_us
instead of this: http:// yoursite.com/contact_us.html

In Admin>Tools>EZ-Pages, I changed my internal URLs to:
contact_us for the contact page and . for the home page.

My EZ pages links now work just right. Sometimes it's hard to stay out of my own way.
