Edit Header in New Template

Hello everyone...

I changed templates to (digitalshop) and now I'm unable to edit the header section of the template. I have tried to edit the header.php
nothing happens.

I would like to add my logo on the left with tag line and a banner on the right, can someone point me in the right direction. I'm also trying to edit the sidebox headers and still cant find the correct file to edit with this new template??

Are you editing the correct header.php, you would need to edit:

includes/languages/english/NEW_TEMPLATE/header.php

and not

includes/languages/english/header.php

But i went ahead and went back to my original template for now
waiting for the book I hope it helps....lol

I have been looking for the file to edit the text on my sideboxs to no avail, the file to define is very elusive........cant seem to track it down will keep trying though....

I know you need to edit the css file in order to change header img, but the url img i entered didn't render?? can you tell what I need to do?? thanks again....

What is a "url img" ?

The url() value for a background-image: property, I presume.

What element are you giving this background to, how are you naming the url(), and where is the image saved?

thanks you reminded me to check my images folder and it worked still having issues edting my sidebox headers text. I have been looking in developer tool I will find the correct file soon enough...

I was able to upload image to image folder and edit the css file, with new header image okay for now but I'm using the developer tool in hopes of finding the correct define cat file for my sidebox headers still cant finf it. Thanks for your reply.....

I'm looking for the define header text file. I would like to edit the sidedox headers with my own title text,ex: instead of sponsor - affiliates and remove the [more] from the new products sidebox header.......

If you want to change the sidebox heading text, paste the text you want to change in the lower left box in Tools > Developers Toolkit, select all files and search. Among the results will be the file and line number where it is defined.

If the header includes [more], do not include that in your title search, as it is defined elsewhere and your search for the whole string will fail. Search for [more] separately; you can set its define to '' (two single quotes) to make it disappear.
