Last copies view on start page

I would like to ask your help if it is possible to customize a product that has a low stock. What I want to be show is a 'last copies' or 'last 3 copies' on the start page when an item reach that quantity.

You would need to take a look at the Featured Products module files, and then copy these over, and edit the SQL statement, so that it pulls products in order of stock levels. Take a look at

includes/modules/featured_products.php

and

includes/templates/template_default/templates/tpl_modules_featured_products.php

These should point you in the right direction.
