Categories missing sub-categories

I'm a newbie so I hope this isn't to obvious a question, because I have looked everywhere on zen cart 1.3.9d...

I used Easy populate to download all of my 15k + products. However, I've set up all of my categories but I'm having a problem with only one not displaying any sub-categories when it should have 16. No products are listed with the sub-cats. When I go to catalog/categories in zen admin they all show up, but on my web page they only show up on my side bar and not in my main central page were I would like to add an image for each sub-cat.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

The category I refer to is "Bondage, Fetish & Kink", it should have 16 sub-categories. The rest of my categories are just fine displaying sub-cat's or products as need be, this one category has got me stumped.

Tried going back to the classic template, same thing is going on.

Ok, so either this question is too easy or too hard

But I managed to take another step toward fixing it, I hope.

It seems that zen is treating my sub categories as products for just these sub categories and for what ever reason just won't display them. Is anyone familiar with which script I would need to edit to perhaps deal with it.

Am I on the right track at all??

It's behaving as though you have a product (Rouge Wrist Bands/cuffs) in that category. You can have products or subcategories in a category, but not both.

Hi Stevesh, yeah I know I just deleted the whole category and reloaded it. It still behaves in the same manner with the sub categories just in that group. There are no products that I can see in the admin/categories-products list.

In admin/categories-products/Bondage, fetish & kink sub category it has a "new product" button at the bottom of the page but lists 16 categories. All of my other listed categories and sub categories have a new category button at the bottom of the list.

Some funky stuff going on here...
