Horizontal Categories?

I'm looking for a template that has the categories listed at the top of the page horizontally, and I'm coming up empty.

The only thing I can think of off-hand is to get creative with the header, and turn off all of the ezpage columns on both sides?
Will that work?

Did you try turning on the Category Tabs in the Configuration ... Layout Settings ...

Categories-Tabs Menu ON/OFF
Categories-Tabs
This enables the display of your store's categories as a menu across the top of your header. There are many potential creative uses for this.
0= Hide Categories Tabs
1= Show Categories Tabs

You can turn off both sidebars in any template with admin > Configuration > Layout Settings > Column Left/Right status - Global.

You would then need to add some mods to the header or footer for needed functions that normally occur in sidebars. Some might require some custom coding - depends on what you want where.

You can also use the EZ Pages to create any needed links (whether to categories or not) across the top. I find this provides greater flexibility and you don't get the 'wrapping' that you can sometimes get with adding all categories to the top.

It also allows you to work a little SEO into the top by using certain keywords or phrases to point to a category that on the left hand standard navigation might be different.
