    Default Salemaker not working

    Hi

    I've just set up a new site using 1.3.9f and found that Salemaker will not work on any products. I've upgraded to 1.3.9g but the problem still exists. I've tried all the different options within salemaker (using a date, no date etc.)

    I can add a specials price without any problem.

    As yet there are no added modules.

    Does anyone alse have this problem?

    SaleMaker works with the Product's master_categories_id ... where the master_categories_id is the Category that "owns" the Product ...

    Then, if you set the SaleMaker sale on that Category, it will show as being on Sale ...

    What are your exact settings that you are using on your Sale in SaleMaker ...

    Here are the Salemaker settings:

    Date Added: 10/06/2010 Last Modified: 10/06/2010 Last Status Change: 10/06/2010
    Deduction: 5.0000 Percent
    Pricerange: $0.00 to $0.00 Specials Condition: Ignore SaleCondition - No Sale Applied When Special Exists
    Starts: Immediately
    Expires: Never

    I have applied this to one master category of product. I've also tried changing start and end dates, price range... but none of them work.

    What happens if you switch to the Classic Template as a test to see if this is a template issue ...

    Did you start this site with v1.3.9f or with v1.3.8?

    If you look at your SaleMaker, what is the Category on sale and its categories_id?

    If you edit one of the Products in this Category, are they Linked Products?

    If you look at this Category of Products ... and click on C for Copy, then click on the Multiple Categories Link Manager ... what Category has the Yellow icon on it?

    I started with 1.3.9f

    No products are linked as this is a new installation, but when I go into the Multiple Categories Link Manager there is a warning that no Master Category has been set for the product. I guess this must be where the problem lies? All the products were imported from a data feed and I guess there must have been some kind of data mismatch in there?

    Yes the problem is with the database, the product master_categories_id has not been set.
