Default Bad redirect commands caused the main directory(frontend) to be listed

I had a problem when trying to do Redirects on CPanel 11, and instead of the store, when I clicked a link it listed the main store directory! So I temporarily deny access.

I remove all Redirects but still have the same problem, can someone please tell me what's the recommended .htaccess for zencart's main page, the admin works fine, it's just a problem with the front end ...

Zen Cart ships with NO .htaccess in the root, because none is needed.
Anything you add to your own .htaccess is up to you based on your own unique preferences/needs. If something you've added is breaking your store, start with removing it.

As I didn't remember, I decided to check it out, but imagine my surprise when I saw the site was missing index.php!

I was so focused in a problem with .htaccess I forgot to check that, apparently in an attempt to fix the redirection problem, my host's support staff, removed index.php, and that was what was messing things up as after I restored a copy the site worked fine again.
