HTMLArea Image Manager Install Help

I uninstalled everything and went into my store settings made sure htmlarea was selected. Still no Rich Text editor. I wonder if there is some sort of other issue that's causing this.

( By the way it's a new zen instalation :) )

So far all I have done is install admin profiles and image handler 3. do you think image handler 3 is causing an issue?

Stumped.

If I delete the htaccess file from root/editors folder my etitor works fine. Is there a fix for this without compromising my security?

Is the HTMLArea Image Manager image function? I just want to make sure this is it and not something else that I may be mistaking it for. It seems to work with the htaccess deleted however I hope to use htaccess. Thanks

Silly me! When I uploaded my backup I completely missed a file.

No, IH can't be the cause, since I use it on every site I install.

Let me know if that makes a difference to know if I should take a look to the module.

I'm not sure really what was causing the problem though.

I followed the directions you provided and it would not work. So then I made a backup and removed the files from my server. Checked to see if HTMLAREA was working and it wasn't. Saw in another thread that .htaccess was causing some sort of issue with HTMLAREA so I deleted it. Voilà, HTMLAREA works again. Then I reloaded the backup I made and mistakenly missed a file. The weird thing is that now all is well even with the .htaccess file in place. I had to goof somewhere but have no idea where I did.
