Category as a link

I would like to make one of my category listings link to another page instead of opening it's own page. What I mean is, in my side box I have a list of categories. If you click on one of the categories it goes to the categories product page. On one of my categories I would like to send customers to our third party affiliate. Can I make that category in the side box link to their page?

You could add some custom code to /includes/templates/your_template/sideboxes/tpl_categories.php to look for that category id in the loop and substitute custom link code for the standard link code.

If you are not proficient in PHP, you can install Categories Dressing and make a "heading" in a desired place in your sidebox that has an HTML link of your choice. This would mean eliminating that dummy category from your store.
