Attribute with required text field?

How would I create an attribute that will require a text field to be inputted before checkout for custom printing.

Example: On product listing they would select the attribute for CUSTOM. This will generate a text field on the checkout screen. Possible? Other suggestions?

Create the TEXT attribute and when you add it to the Product, set it to be:

Attribute Required
for Text: Yes

Okay, I have another question.

I have created another attribute for TEXT and included it in my product listing.

Is there a way to make it paired in with another attribute.

For example. If the customer clicks the checkbox CUSTOM then they will be required to enter information in the text field as well.

Right now it's not required so the customers are able to select the CUSTOM checkbox....and not enter any text.
