Help in product links problem

Hello...

Aside from being a fresh user of Zen Cart, I have just recently installed zc version 1.3.9f on a local host so please pardon me if there will be no url in this query.

Anyway the problem is this, after installation I customized the looks of my zc store using or should I say followed the customization (override manual) of zc. and everything worked great. I made a custom header, footer, logo, product categories are all set up including product attributes, product_info_display page layout has been customized as well. sample product images are supplied and everything is working fine.

until I decided to customize the main page, by inserting a new html thread (for slideshow) via define_main_page. The CSS codes for that thread is located at my own CSS override, javascript are loaded in jscript override folder. But I noticed that after I've done this, the images in new products as well as all the links in categories sidebox are no longer active . Meaning I can no longer click on the images and sidebox links to be re-directed to product_info_display. Is there a certain php file I need to reconfigure or reload atleast to arrest the problem.

I hope that I was able to explain my question clearly, and thanks in advance for the answer(s) that will be supplied.

Switch to the classic template and if things functional as normal, you need to trace your customizations

Hi kobra, thanks for your suggestion and I have actually done that. I have even reloaded the original content of tpl_main_page, tpl_main_page_default, index.php after deleting the html thread I have added in define_main_page and nothing really happens. It's really totally weird experience for me. Not only that I cannot clikced on product images but as well as the links in sideboxes are turned off. I have been searching an answer from different threads in the forum but seem cant get one. I hope you have an automagically answer for this , because you really have the touch in zen cart .

Yeah, I understand sorry for not able to give you a url because the store is located in a localhost for testing before going live. But tell you what I had an itch after reading your first answer, I shifted the template from custom to classic. And i could see all my products and they are now back to normal including the links in sideboxes. And I may have accidentally changed a code in one of the .php files. I know you asked to retrace my customization, but this may sound stupid for you but I really dont know where to start

Go back and back that out as something in your customization has caused this

Thanks anyway, your support is superb I finally have the push to look at every file in my overrides. Will sure to post back the solution after I find the cause of my ignorance

Hi again, I just want to post that I was able to solve my problem and it lies in the custom CSS and the culprit is just a single line of "float: left;".
