    The actual apache setup for a subdomain is not handled in ZenCart

    Once setup you need to edit the configure files to reflect this change

    so in the store config file

    Code:
      define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/store/');
      define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '/store/');
    will then be correct, yes?

    and the http and https will still point to store.inspiritcommon.com

    as soon as my toddler goes to bed, i'm on the phone with godaddy.

    thank you thank you thank you kobra. blessings!

    this seems odd to me, if you're having me put the files into root/icwebstore/store/zcfiles. wouldn't it be:

    define('DIR_FS_SQL_CACHE', '/home/content/b/u/c/bucky/html/icwebstore/store/cache'); ?

    Not from what you posted as 'store' is defined as a subdomanin of inspiritcommon.com

    There is/should not be any mention of icwebstore

    not sure about godaddy, but my hosting, whenever i create a subdomain, it creates a directory for this subdomain...

    all the zencart files need to go in this folder as this is linked to the subdomain....

    is /html/icwebstore your MAIN DOMAIN Directory
    or is this the directory for your subdomain...

    on my hosting, my subdomain directory would be
    hosting/public_html/sub1/

    where as my main domain is hosting/public_html/

    so it all depends on what directory your subdomain is looking to...
    i may not know how yet, but i soon will....i hope :)

    thank you for bearing with me. i think i'm almost there. spent a looong time talking to tech support at godaddy. (sometimes i wonder if they're required to put you on hold for at least 5 minutes at certain intervals every time)

    i again have a subdomain called store.inspiritcommon.com and it's pointing to /store/ in my godaddy www directory. when i browse there, i can see the zen cart 'system setup support' page, so clearly something isn't right in my config files.

    i've tried it a million ways, but haven't found the right combo. i've tried putting the fiiles into /store/icwebstore/ and pointing to the files that way and i've tried just having them in /store/ (this is what i have up there now and what godaddy suggested would work best (but i've tried your way FIRST, kobra. *sigh*))

    i'm posting both my config files in hopes you will help me understand the magic combo. i really appreciate your knowledge and help.
