Titles: Mr., Ms., no Mrs.?

My client sent me a copy of a note she received from one of her customers, who, upon creating her account, was offended that she had no option to choose Mrs. for her Title.

Some people are offended by Ms. (as is my own wife), and this woman made it clear that she was one of them.

How can we add the option to choose Mrs. when creating an account?

I cannot find where this is set.

You can't, at least not without writing a lot of custom code.

The salutation is just an on/off (male/female) in the current version. Most of us just turn the salutation off in admin.

That feature will be available in version 2.0 (no release date yet).

Thank you Steve. I had a hunch that was the case, because I did find in the code the if, else statememt for that. I was pretty sure that must be what she was talking about, and I said to myself, "Nope, can't be done".

I'll just turn it off.

Actually, though my wife doesn't particularly like Ms. either, she pointed out that it is almost universal now for business (she was a department store mangager for an upscale chain in S. California), and she thought this woman was being a little too sensitive. She groaned! Ha, ha.

Has a lot to do with age - my mother hated Ms, too.

Personally, I prefer 'Steve'. Never seen the need for a salutation.

There is another option,

besides turning OFF the salutation you can note that if a salutation is wanted to put it in the first name box along with their name
