    Default "Connection Problem" error

    Hi guys,

I've just done a search through the forums and haven't really found anything useful - I was deleting some zipped files from my online database this morning as they had already been unzipped so I had 2 copies of it, and they were just using up my storage space - then I tried to access my website ( http://www.bubbalooba.com ) and it says "Connection Problem" in the title bar, and the following:

    Sorry!
There seems to be a problem connecting to our database. Please give us a few minutes to remedy the problem. Thank you.

I have no idea what I've deleted that could have caused an error...also, when I try to log in to the admin area, I get this:
    0 DB_ERROR_NOT_CONNECTED
    in:
    [select * from project_version WHERE project_version_key = 'Zen-Cart Database' ]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.
My database seems fine, and I've checked my "configure.php" files, and I think it would be a bit coincidental if it was an actual server problem...I feel like I've accidentally deleted something, but I have no idea what! Does anybody have any suggestions on how to fix this?

    Thanks a lot :)
    Kyra

It is normally one of two things
The configures do not point correctly or do not have the correct pass

It is actually the server not allowing connection

Thanks kobra - I've checked the configures and they both have the correct passwords, and not sure if they are "pointing correctly" but I haven't touched them or made any major changes so I'm assuming that they are.

When you say, the server might not be allowing the connection, do you mean, is that a problem on my end, or on the host's end?

Arghhh I have no idea what I've done wrong, lol!

I've fixed it (well my mum has!) - I have no idea what happened, but she made a user in the MySQL database or something, and then used that username in the configure files, along with my domain name - so for example, my website is bubbalooba.com, so in the configure files she put "bubbalooba_username" whereas before it was just "username"...now everything seems fine and is working again :)
