Default Cannot access admin area via url

    Hello Zenners

I have installed v1.3.9f on my domain http://www.jls-international.co.uk in the public html directory.

The site itself is all present and correct but when I try to access the admin area via http://www.jls-international.co.uk/admin a 404 error is returned. I have checked the file system and the directory admin is there and does contain an index.php file.

    Help me Obi Wan

    Cheers

Cheers for the reply Kobra, I have long been an admirer of your work.

However, I installed ZC through my webhosts Extend panel, a method which has previously worked for me, not via FTP. I have tried the install three times now to no avail. I am well and truly at a loss.

Worry no further my dear Kobra, it was a server side problem with the .htaccess file in the admin directory.

It was corrupted. At the end of each line it contained the DOS newline code of ^M, which did not sit too well with the Linux server.

Pleasure to make your acquaintance though and again thanks for the reply.

Late and little update. The DOS newline code of ^M was appearing at the end of the code line on the linux server because SSL was not activated on the domain when I told Zen it was. I am mook hear me apologise, but if you are getting the same issues it may be that SSL is your issue.

    Take it easy all
