    Default Database Patch Level

Upgraded but using my old database and received this:

Your database appears to need patching to a higher level. See Admin->Tools->Server Information to review patch levels.

    This is what I have:

    Zen Cart 1.3.9g

    Database Patch Level: 1.3.8

All the files are 1.3.9 g but it appears my database is still 1.3.8.

So my question is which patch do I need?

    Thanks!

This says you have not run the:
    /zc_install

on the database to upgrade it to v1.3.9 ...

Sorry Linda for asking this question...but I looked at the docs.

Do I do each html starting from 1.39a?

Maybe someone else might have the same question and can benefit from this too.

I have never done this before and I want to make sure I am on the right path.

    Thanks!

    I would read the file:
    /docs/2.readme_how_to_upgrade.html

plus all the other files that came with your current version of Zen Cart ...

Then look at the Tutorials/FAQs and search on:
    upgrade

When upgrading the database, the /zc_install will pick for you the Upgrades you need ...

The best method is to uncheck all but the first one that it has picked ... run that upgrade ... then have it do a recheck ... and continue to do 1 by 1 based on what it picks for you until it is done ...

Make Backups and make backups and make backups before doing upgrades ... and if I did not mention it ... make backups ...

Apparently your database is set to utf8 mode. You'll need to edit the /zc_install/includes/installer_params.php file and change the DB_CHARSET from 'latin1' to 'utf8'.
Then the zc_install steps should run fine.
