Can't rename admin folder

I'm renaming the admin folder but the change isn't being recognised.

However if I browse to the old non existent admin folder, it comes up in the url as a found page.

It's as if the old admin url is being cached on the server. I've cleared my client side cache/cookies etc.

did you also change the path's in the admin config file?

Ah! Didn't know I had to do that.
