Allow online ordering for SOME produts

Our site currently has the online/ ecommerce features disabled.
Its just an online catalouge.
we use zen for its excellent content management.

Now we want to enable online shopping.
Can we enable it for just a few products for testing purposes?

Check in Admin - Catalog - Product Types. You can assign different products to different product types and turn the add-to-cart possibility on and off by product type.
