Weird symbol if I remove categories from main page ?

I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this little issue ?

I'm getting a --> at the top of the main page if I remove categories from the main page ?

It's highlighted the first image has a "-->" before the text.

Okay, you're using a template which has altered the breadcrumb class. The symbol you are seeing are two hyphens and a forward arrow, which would normally appear between the Category and the following Sub-Category. In the default Zen Cart template the symbol used would be ::

Look for it in includes/classes/breadcrumb.php

I'm actually "from" a South Wales mining town, but have spent more than half my life somewhere in Norfolk - first Gt Yarmouth, then Norwich, and now Wroxham on the Norfolk Broads.

I just completed some family research and found (not surprisingly) that my Mothers' side of the family were Welsh miners from way back but that my Fathers' side of the family (surprisingly) came from Somerset (where the cider apples grow).
