Category not showing in Left Column

Just installed zc.

I added 1 category w/ 1 product to test it out.

The category showed in the header, but not in the left column.

Any clue?

Nope. Is the Categories sidebox enabled and visible ? Can you provide a link to the site ?

Let's see the site. It could be lots of things, and we would be guessing in the dark without seeing what is happening.

oh and i removed the category from the header, cause i don't like it there. i just want it on the left column

When you installed the template, did you then go to Tools > Layout Boxes Controller and hit "reset"? Do you have the categories sidebox set to display in the left column?
