Where could I have placed a JavaScript file??

On one of my carts, I had a stupid script that was annoying users.

I wanted to remove it, and thought I did, in the header.php file in the templates/common/ dir.

I know that this is the header.php file that is loading, as when I change a comment it appears changed in the source when viewing the site.

And, I did find the script, which I had embedded in the file, rather than as a stand-alone JS.

Even so, I must have another file containing the same script elsewhere, as it is apparently still functioning.

Where else could it be? I looked in footer.php. Not there.

Looked in templates/jscript...not there.

Use Tools > Developers Toolkit to search for a distinctive snippet of code or comment that would be in the javascript. That will tell you where it is located.

I had tried this, without any success.

No comments on that script (to keep it nondescript lol), and none of the code snippets could be found.

I finally resolved the issue, using Developers Toolkit, when I remembered an earlier (testing) version of the script that was written completely differently, and I entered THAT code snippet, and there it was!
