Cannot add items from list of manufacturers (server problem)

Hi,

I tested to install fresh copy before I will go from 1.3.8a to 1.3.9g and here is my issue, which I cannot solve:

1. Installed fresh copy of 1.3.9g - www .gvg.cz/test
2. Installed sample products
3. Created new customer:
E-mail: [email protected]
Password: testtest
4. Logged in as [email protected]
5. Look on left manufacturers sidebox and selected "Fox" manufacturer.
6. From list of manufacturer items, I added 5 copies of "Courage Under Fire Linked" and 2 copies of "Die Hard With A Vengeance Linked".
7. Clicked "add selected products to cart"
8. Instead of adding to cart, I have message "Your Shopping Cart is empty."

What is wrong? When I try same steps on my 1.3.8a, I can add products without problems.

Not that this helps you and your situation. But i have just tested on a fresh instal of 1.3.9g, Added an item as a guest from the list of manufactures and it was added to my cart. I created a test account and followed through the checkout process no problem.

Can you please test on my testing site using data I provided? It is absolutely fresh installation without any changes (except change admin folder).

Do you have any debug files in your cache folder? Something is making the cart move v e r y s l o w

Looks like the slow is your ns servers are .net and .it versus .cz

From Czech, it is not so slow, as you are mentioning. But not quick enough - I agree. Did you tested my issue?

yes, it failed as you stated. That's why I asked if you had any debug files in the cache folder.

No, I had, but deleted one 100KB file. Now, only index.php is available.
What`s interesting, If I install same way (clean install with no touch) version 1.3.8a, all works perfectly.

There should be a .htaccess file as well as the index.php. Also, the file you deleted may have held the solution to the problem.

Also, how did you install the site? Fantastico, FTP, archived file expansion, ...?

Have you verified that all files are on the server?

.htaccess or index.php - all untouched, it is state of just installed store
I deleted only cache record file (before and after - same behaviour)
I installed it copying using FTP in Total Commander. After copy, I made installation using wizard and not change nothing special (except disable auto check for new updated when admin opens).
No, I not verify files, as I am expecting, that they are OK. How to verify them? Compare sizes with original installer?
As mentioned, if I install same way 1.3.8a, it works. Also, when I want to add items from details of product, I can do that. Only cannot from listing of manufacturer or from featured and so on. If from detail of product, then it is OK.

Since you are not answering the posting questions, I can only suggest that you try another FTP program. Total Commander's FTP is an add on versus something like Filezilla that is straight FTP.

I would get Filezilla and try uploading again with Filezilla. When the "Target file already exists." window comes up, choose Action: Skip and "Apply to current queue only. Then click OK.

At the end of the transfer, Filezilla will list failed and successful transfers at the bottom of the Filezilla window. If there are any files in the Successful transfers block, that means that Total Commander didn't do a "total" load.
