Default Changing the Congratulations you have successfully installed

I have changed the .php file for the Congratulations! You have successfully installed your Zen Cart™ E-Commerce Solution. The ' marks are still there. I have created a folder called Custom

includes/languages/english/custom and put the new index.php file into that. All I get now is a blank page. I have checked and checked and yes that ' mark is there..

('HEADING_TITLE', 'Welcome to Outlaw Women Scrapbook Emporium .');} elseif ($category_depth == 'nested') { // This section deals with displaying a subcategory /*Replace this line with the headline you would like for your shop. For example: 'Welcome to My SHOP!'*/ define('HEADING_TITLE', 'Welcome to Outlaw Women Scrapbook Emporium .'); }?>

What have I done wrong or what do I need to do..

    Help Please.

    Thank you
    Robyn

I don't see anything wrong with that section of code and the link you gave has the default message.

I know, the new file is in the Custom folder as it should be but the old file is still index.php and is in the

    includes/languages/english

was I suppose to delete that first index.php file..

When I do not use the custom and I do replace the original index.php file the site crashes and become just a blank page..

    Thanks

    No - definitely not.

For issues with a blank page see this tutorial:

Most blank page problems are caused by extra lines or spaces at the bottom of the PHP file, often caused by editing the file in something other than a text editor. You might check that first. Otherwise, the error logs in the /cache folder should point to the problem.

I am not getting the blank pages now I'm just not getting the changes made. I have left the original index.php file in

    includes/languages/english

I have put the new file in

includes/languages/english here i created a new directory called custom and put it in that..
