Default Integrate a HTML/CSS site as a template in my store?

    Hello,

So I'm starting a new company/ web-shop, the idea behind it is to use Zen-Cart as the web-shop database. Though since i don't know how Zen-Cart is built and I actually don't really know that much about PHP coding i don't really know how i should integrate my html/css code in to Zen-Cart.

I have built the website as an regular website, it's at http://rockamoj.websitefactory.se/.

I wondered if anyone might have an idea about how I should proceed with my work, or if it's even possible to do this ?

    Best Regards.

    Yes it is possible....
But you will design Zencart to look like your current site/page and then scrap them
ZenCart will become your web site

php knowledge is helpful, but not mandatory. You can do lots just with the css.

The design of your site is fairly simple and shouldn't be difficult to reproduce in Zen Cart. I recommend you install Zen Cart in a subdirectory on your site (or run it locally on your PC if you want) and play around with it. I think you'll be surprised at how little php you really need to know.

Me neither, and I've been using Zencart for a while.

    Start here:

Install the Firefox browser and the Web Developer plugin for Firefox. You can use those to see where in the stylesheet you change the styling of the various page elements.

Ctrl-Shift-Y will allow you to hover over a section of the page and see the class and id names for that section in the box at the top. The statements in the stylesheet that begin with # are id's and the ones that begin with dots are classes.

Ctrl-Shift-E will open the CSS editor and allow you to edit the stylesheet and see the changes in real time without changing anything permanently. An essential tool.

Some prefer Firebug, which does much the same thing.

That will let you see what Zencart does with the various page elements, and you'll see where you need to make changes based on your current design.

The important thing, I think, is to just jump in and try stuff.

Experienced Zenners could reproduce your site design in Zencart using pretty much only the stylesheets and admin switches.
