Default Permissions problems on Fedora 13

This is a new insall for us on Linux server. Our problem is file and Driector premission. We followed the directions and CHMOD 777 all the files. However in the Zen Cart™ Setup - System Inspection it tells us that the permissions are not set. we have checked the files and director with the ls -laZ command and it shows us the files have the 777 setting. So where do we go from here.

Default Re: Permissions problems on Fedora 13

The instructions don't say that "files" should have permissions of 777. Permissions for files should be 644.

Folders should have permissions of 755, unless the server requires permisisons of 777 for some folders like 'images'.
