Need Advice: Adding 2 of same product w/attributes

Hi All,

Have something odd we're seeing on one of our sites.

On an item, we have 2 sets of attributes active for Rental Terms (one month vs. 1 season) with different values.

This product in particular has a quantity of 1, and admin settings are set such that stock is reduced when purchased and not to allow checkout without having stock available.

In this case though, if I add x1 of this using one option (ie 1 month) THEN go back and add x1 of the same product using another option (ie 1 Season) the red flag warning re: quantities doesn't appear on the cart at all - 2 products are listed in the cart and users can checkout their order as 2 pieces.

Any thoughts on how to restrict this?

So still bit of a head scratcher; however, have things working now.

Solution was in the Admin's product info option 'Product Qty Maximum: = 1 (aka no qty boxes)'

Seems to have resolved the issue - still unsure as to the Why's though - if anyone has any thoughts, still appreciated.
