    red flag Login+Cookie Problems

    Newbie to ZenCart...

Initial setup of cart and modifications went very smooth, however all login attempts unsuccessful. Attempted on multiple browsers.... IE, Firefox, Opera

    All have same error...

    "Cookie Privacy and Security
Cookies must be enabled to purchase online on this store, this is to embrace privacy and security related issues regarding your visit to this site."

Cookie's are enabled and working on other sites just fine.

Seems like a definite glitch or something...

I was able to create an account, log off, and log back in, but the create account function took way too long (>2 minutes).

What happens when you switch temporarily to the Classic template ?

    Thanks for reply,

I setup another dummy account. Took only about 5 seconds to establish. Was able to login using OPERA browser this time. IE & Firefox still have cookie issues (no good).

Cleared all caches, cookies, history. Changed security settings as instructed also. My concern, before going any further setting up ZenCart is to fix these issues.

I must be missing something....please advise

Abnormal behavior like that suggests either a bad install or bad browser configuration, or something in between.
Usually the best place to start is to ensure that your site files are all properly uploaded and entirely intact. FTP failures are the most common cause of bizarre symptoms.

I have the same problem. I can log-in on Chrome but cannot on Firefox and Explorer. Looks like a lot of people have this problem. It is definetly a BUG and it is not fixed yet. Anybody knows how to fix it?

If it were a BUG we'd all be having the problem, I think. May have something to do with server configuration (?).

I have solved this problem! The issue was in the proper setting at admin panel.

Go to > Configuration > Sessions > Force Cokie Use --- and select "True". I had default as "False". After I change it -- site log-in is warking fine.

This selection described in admin as: "Force the use of sessions when cookies are only enabled." I do not understand what it realy means, but it works?
