I created two new modules, flatgroundus and flatairus, removed the original two, flatgorund and flatair, installed the two new ones and all is right with the world. Thanks for your help.

I want to let my client see all the modules before I "zone 'em."

    Thanks again.

Good plan, actually, make sure they all work correctly ... then, worry about limiting them to the different Zones ...

    A search on:
    Rest of the World

should locate for you some SQL statements that might help build the Zones faster ...

You do need to find out what exactly is meant by the US ...

For some, that is the 48 States plus DC ... for others that is all the States plus DC ... and for others that is All of the US which includes the US Islands and Territories as well as the Armed forces ...

For the UK, you can first build the Rest of the World Zone and then remove the UK from it ... then, create a Zone Definition for the UK and to the Details the Country: UK and Zones: All Zones ...

    Ajeh,

Here is the shipping table I have to work from. As you know, I have set up these items individually, so my question involves the set up of zones, so only the appropriate ones show up.

I have three currencies set up, all converted from US$ so this complicates things a bit because they all will show up converted to the selected currency.

What do you think is the best was to go about this?

    Thanks.

The amounts would be a problem ...

The current method is to convert works by converting from the US value and using the exchange rate for it ...

Today, $25.00 US is £16.36 ... tomorrow it will change ...

You don't have anything that works consistently on the amounts to even guess at a method to do these conversions based on the Total based on currency rates ...

I cannot even think of a method to do this kind of conversion on the shipping modules without doing some rather intense re-writes for the calculation of the current currency ...

    Ajeh,

The client wants static shipping pricing, no floating currency conversions. The table is set in stone. In fact, he has static pricing on everything. So I have set the conversion ratios and that's all there is to it.

So how can I get zones to work for me in this situation? In essence, to filter and just display the appropriate shipping options. By the way, you can see all this at www.staffordshire-enamels.com.

    Thanks,

    Euonym

Another question. I'd like to place the above table on the shipping page, er... the client would like it there. I've looked at a number of .php files and non seem conducive to inserting content. Any suggestions?

just edit the (custom version of your) tpl_checkout_shipping.php page, and stick the image/table where you want it.

    DrByte,

You mean tpl_checkout_shipping_default.php ? Or am I looking in the wrong place?

    tpl_checkout_shipping_default.php did the trick.
