Default Relative Links Default to HTTPS???

    Hi Folks

Ive got a bit of a strange one and would welcom any help.

Dont know when my site started do this so cant trace it back to any specific change.

Any of my relative html links ie "/webshop/product1" all default to https://www.domain.com/webshop/product1

Which is annoying as its doing this with all my images through image handler as well

Ive looked in both configure files and everything looks set right and when i switch ssl on and off all link encoded with HTTP_SERVER and HTTPS_SERVER switch on an off as instructed.

Can anyone point me in the right direction

    Regards

    Gareth

When you browse an HTTP page on your site, what's the <BASE HREF> value in the raw HTML source when you click View Source in your browser's menu?
How does that compare with the BASE HREF when visiting an HTTPS page?

    Posting a URL might help.

    Thanks for the reply DrByte

The is the same in both the the secured and non secured pages

    <base href="https://www.firemart.co.uk/webshop/" />

Im guessing that needs to have the 's' missing on the non secure pages?

    Where do i change this?

    Regards

In your configure.php file you have definitions for HTTP_SERVER and HTTPS_SERVER. The HTTP_SERVER should be set to your URL without the "s", and the HTTPS_SERVER should be set to the appropriate URL for https use.

If the settings there are correct, then your problem is not something *you* can fix yourself, since it's a configuration error made by your hosting company when they set up your SSL Certificate and added it to your domain. They'll need to fix their misconfiguration of your domain.
