i've been adding products one at a time but this is laborious! is there a way to add hundreds/thousands of items at once via FTP? thanks!

BTW... ftp is only useful for FILE TRANSFERS, not database content. You may need to get a better understanding of the differences between the FILE SYSTEM and the DATABASE.

There are a lot of good tutorials on the WWW that explain this relationship (between code files and their relative database).
