Can't change order confirmation e-mail

I've followed the instructions from numerous posts on the site and can't change the order confirmation email.

1. I changed my header.jpg file in the /email folder to reflect my store header, but it won't take.
2. I've changed the email_template_order_status.html file, but it stays the same.
3. I can't figure out what which php file I need to change and what lines I need to change to modify the line that says: If you feel that you have received this email in error, please send an email to jenesco.news######################

There is so much conflicting information.

1. The header.jpg image is cached in your email program. Shut down your email program. Then clear your browser cache. Then restart your email program. The logo in those emails should show the correct image now. If not, contact the author of your email program for help in clearing the cache.

Thank you! Now I see the right image. I was also able to modify the order confirmation e-mail, except for one thing.

I tried to modify the Copyright section in the footer, but now it just says EMAIL_FOOTER_COPYRIGHT. How do I get that to stop showing up?

order confirmation email pulls its information from the orders.php file in the admin. Editing this file is on your own risk.

If you open the order_confirmation.html in your html editor you can locate where the EMAIL_FOOTER_COPYRIGHT, if you want to completely remove it you can delete the text. Or you can edit the EMAIL_FOOTER_COPYRIGHT text in the English file or directly in the html file.
